**To All My Lovelies,**
Someday I plan a scholarship program unlike any other. If you've read the blog posts and also the front page before I took it down, you know the plans are big. We are still planning it, but I have just been put on furlough. Since July, I've been placed on furloughs of a day or two, a few days, and the like. I knew it might come any day, and it came. Today I am on furlough.
I work for FEMA, and there aren't enough disasters for me to work. Now isn't that wonderful? Not enough disasters to be needed. It's great. Well, it was great for the people—nice and safe—but it does mean my steady paycheck is gone until I am needed again.
I am running this ship with a plan to make as little as I can so I can do scholarships when it comes to kid books, and funding all the building blocks to get there means saving. Lawyers cost money. Scholarships require legal approvals. It's not enough to just put in the book sales. Steady employment is necessary.
I am not some rich lady, never have been, but I have faith. I will keep writing the healing stories and bringing magic. And I will build a massive catalog that will fund scholarships.
How many times was Dr. Seuss turned down? Twenty-seven. It was a ton. But he kept writing. Does anyone not know of Dr. Seuss now? Ha ha, we almost all do. Around the world it was translated, and I have not even submitted this to a publisher. Yes, none. Why? I want to keep the scholarship for the kids.
I might go that route to get the healing messages out and hope my dreams of making a scholarship program come faster that way. I'm sure the right publisher would love that vision. But hey, for now, I can't put it out there. I don't have the funds coming in, but we continue building the bricks.
Brick by brick.
