The Return to a Beloved Game
Sometimes I play RuneScape as DWL Ariarose. I used to play a long time ago, but work took me away from it. I started again on December 1, 2025, with a new character. The game has changed over the years—new combat systems, new content—but Fort Forinthry is what made me fall in love with it all over again. I was able to build something really beautiful there, and I hope they continue to let me create such stunning things.
I know, I know—you're thinking, "But Ariarose, you write most days from morning routine to bedtime!" And that's true. But here's the thing: some skills in RuneScape have those little time gaps between actions. These gaps are perfect for keeping my hands busy while my brain processes the next scene or while I'm waiting for my dreams to settle into words.
Crafting for the Community
When I do play, I sometimes craft useful tools for the community. Here are the latest ones I put together for those wanting to get all their Treasure Trail items with the help of Claude Opus 4.5 and Rune Wiki. I will be refining them in the days to come, as I know they are handy. However, refinement through gameplay and user feedback makes for better programs.
RS3 Treasure Trail Emote Clue Checklist - Track your emote clue progress with filtering by difficulty tier.
RS3 Treasure Trail Shopping List - Complete item guide organized by category with cost estimates.
- Note: Two items listed under Miscellaneous Items to Purchase are items obtained after quests and not from the GE directly. They must be bought with coins. I gathered my items for my hidey hole today that could be purchased directly from the GE to verify the list. These two do cost money to buy, but only after quests.
- Culinaromancer's gloves 10, sometimes called Barrows gloves by players, are metal gloves that can be bought from the Culinaromancer's Chest for 100,000 coins after full completion of Recipe for Disaster.
- Further, the Cape of Legends is a cape that can be bought for 450 coins from Siegfried Erkle in the Legends' Guild upon completion of the Legends' Quest.

The Importance of Community
I'm in a clan called Mugiwara Exiles, and I love my clan members. Sometimes they want to hang out because something's going on in their lives and they need company. Other times, they just want to relax and enjoy the game. Either way, I'm there for them when I can be.
The games I gravitate toward are those that let me build big, beautiful cities. I am a builder of things—worlds in my books, communities in my games. That's why I love Stardew Valley and The Sims. It's also why I enjoy more mature titles like 7 Days to Die and Fallout. These games, while definitely not for kids, scratch that same creative itch.
A Note for Young Readers
Remember, kids, it's important to have balance between all things you do. This doesn't mean we can neglect our work, family, and friends. Games are wonderful for recharging your creative spirit and connecting with people who share your interests. Just make sure the important things come first.

Balance isn't about equal time—it's about making sure nothing essential gets left behind. And another thing—don't lie about your age when you select games to play. Games for adults and kids have very different rules and aspects for great reason. You have plenty of time to grow up and get there. I also love Minecraft for that same builder reason, and it's a perfect example: there are wonderful options without having to grow up too soon.
We grow up soon enough. Though sometimes we're impatient, we get there given time, most always. It's a sad truth—I know that sometimes kids get sick, and it breaks my heart. There are accidents too. So many things can take us away. But don't be impatient. Have faith. Without faith that things will work out, we lose hope.
Kids are the hope in the world. So keep believing and don't rush things.

DWL Ariarose at Fort Forinthry with the Mugiwara Exiles clan vexillum. We accomplished the full complex build in December 2025—the same month I started playing again.
Construction was my first 99 in this playthrough. When you love building big beautiful things, sometimes you dedicate the time to make it happen.

This is my self-created shield for my clan, Mugiwara Exiles. Also not for commercial use—the icons themselves come from the clan vexillum, so it's a gray area. But I wanted to make something for my clan to use, and it turned out rather beautiful.
The symbols of the CC on a shield with two swords behind, the skull with two swords underneath—pulled and rendered.
When you render something this close to the original art, one must be careful. Laws for artists' works are touchy at times. And that's an important thing. People who say "I'll buy a bootleg copy" put lots of people at risk for their jobs. So make sure whatever you're doing, it doesn't infringe on another.
